Glas wird normalerweise als zerbrechliches, instabiles Material bezeichnet. Deshalb verwenden Designer diese Materialien als Handlauf. Zu diesem Zweck werden anspruchsvolle, meist asketische und einfache Formen, Aluminiumprofile und -griffe sowie gehärtetes Sicherheitsglas verwendet. Es ist eine einzigartige Kombination aus Stil und Funktionalität, da es alle Sicherheitsstandards erfüllt und die Haltbarkeit von Aluminium einschließt.
